&nbsp; The exhibition is scheduled for Abuja and would run from October 21 to October 23, 2014 in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; It is organized by the Federal Ministry of Health in partnership<br \/>\nwith the Guild of Medical Directors,&nbsp; the Association of the General and<br \/>\n Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria,&nbsp; Pharmaceutical Society of<br \/>\nNigeria,&nbsp; the Medical and Laboratory Scientists Council of Nigeria,&nbsp;<br \/>\nNursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and James Daniel Consulting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, said in Abuja<br \/>\nyesterday that the exhibition would showcase available world class<br \/>\nmedical facilities,&nbsp; services and personnel that can take care of any<br \/>\nhealth related problems in Nigerian citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; The objective of the exhibition, he noted,&nbsp; s to&nbsp; launch Nigeria<br \/>\nas an emerging regional healthcare destination and also promote Nigeria<br \/>\nas a preferred destination for domestic patient.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Chukwu urged Nigerians to believe in the capability of the<br \/>\nNigerian health professionals especially with the success registered by<br \/>\nNigeria in the containment of Ebola Virus Disease.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; He said: \u201cThe major objective of this exhibition is to launch<br \/>\nNigeria as an emerging regional healthcare destination and to promote<br \/>\nNigeria as a preferred destination for domestic patient and a hub for<br \/>\nregional medical tourism seeking high quality and cost effective<br \/>\nprocedures and treatments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cIn view of the foregoing, Federal Tertiary Health Institutions,&nbsp;<br \/>\nrelevant state government hospitals,&nbsp; private hospitals,&nbsp; diagnostic<br \/>\ncenters,&nbsp; laboratories and pharmaceutical companies from across the<br \/>\ncountry will be expected to showcase the available infrastructure,<br \/>\nservices along with the location of their various healthcare facilities<br \/>\nto Nigerians\u201d&nbsp; stated Chukwu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Health, Mr Linus<br \/>\nAwute in a welcome address stressed that the programme would ultimately<br \/>\nplace Nigeria on the pedestal of achieving delivery of quality health<br \/>\nservices to Nigeria citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;
